One of the most delightful aspects of where we live on Lake of Bays, is the “public” walking path along the lake that bisects private cottage properties. It affords lovely vantage points of the lake that otherwise wouldn’t be available. Folks walk the path with their dogs, respectful of the brief interruption they might be causing in the residents’ day. Along this path is a stone display of Inuksuk - not uncommon in Muskoka - but for some reason, this arrangement contrasted with the lake behind, catches my eye every time. I understand from the folks that own the cottage, that some of these stones hold meaning, and were brought back from British Columbia.
